Kicking off an exhibition season dedicated to textile art, Woven Threads: The Shared Translations of Judith Kornett and Virginia Sperry examines how these Maryland artists use textile as their primary medium. While many people are familiar with the art of quilting, textile art encompasses numerous forms and approaches.  Kornett’s fiber pieces tend to be more figurative and Sperry’s more abstract, but both artists tell compelling stories through their contemporary art.
